Back Draft

Getting Started

For this game you will need three 15-card booster packs or its equivalent (45 cards) for each player playing. 

The Draft

It is recommended you have 8 people for this variant. This variant is similar to a normal booster draft but with an interesting twist: you want to draft the worst cards possible since you will be playing against your own drafted cards. 

 Deck Construction and Game Play

Once you are done drafting determine who your opponent is and swap cards.  You will have 15 minutes to build a deck from the cards you received from your opponent and add as many basic lands as you need to make a 40-card minimum deck.  Then play each other with the deck you created. After the match return the cards back to the original owner.

Alternate Variant:

Another variation of back draft is to exchange decks with someone else at random at the beginning of the draft and then each player will only have to construct a deck one time.
